Here’s to 2009…

Well after a long and stressful holiday with the family, I’m finally back home. So first, some well awaited business: the conclusion of The Night I Fought Crime and Saved a Girl. Part 7 and Part 8 are now up. I guess it’s kind of appropriate timing to have a New Year’s story end around now. Hope you enjoy it, and have a great New Year’s Eve yourself!
In other news, wouldn’t you know, the ever successful Man Vid While I was Away is still getting some attention these days. Most recently it has started to show up on top Dugg lists of 2009. Right now, it’s ranked as the #1 Weirdest News Story Dugg in 2009 by Asylum.com (thanks to an anonymous fan known only as “Dude” for bringing this one to my attention). It’s also generally ranked as the #9 Most Popular Digg Story of 2009 by Mashable.com. Part of me feels kinda weird to see it up there with the news stories of Obama’s victory and Michael Jackson’s death… but then again it’s also up there with the Mythbusters vaporizing a rocket sled and the Macbook Wheel… so really, I guess it cancels out. And in your internet travels, keep your eyes peeled. If you spot the video popping up in anyone else’s list in the next little while I’d always appreciate an email :)
Finally, as you may or may not remember I was helping my friend Shay with judging her Sexy Short Story Contest over the last little while. Well the contest has ended, and the top story will be posted tomorrow. This past week Shay’s been gradually posting the top 3 runners up, so if you’re curious, head on over to Shay’s The S Spot and check it out!

May I just say that I once had a girlfriend break up with me in an e-mail while we were on other continents, and that was HILARIOUS. I only wish that it could have produced a story as good as yours.
